'I'm not a cat person... but I couldn't leave her': Person rescues an itty bitty kitty from freezing, their dogs immediately adopt the kitten into their pawdorable family

"I'm not a cat person but…" We don't know how many times we have heard this phrase already. There is always a "but" coming after those words. Because cats don't care whether you're a cat person or not, if the choose you, they you will have no choice but to accept them. Dads can say they "hate cats" all they want, but it takes just that one kitten to change their minds. Moms can say they want nothing to do with cats all day every day, but before long, you will catch them cuddling with the felines. 

It's the cat's plans that matter. And that was true in this story as well. This kitten has chosen to get adopted not only by someone who is "not a cat person" but also by that person's two dogs, and guess what? They are all getting along purrfectly right meow - the kitten, the dogs, and the person who can no longer claim to not like cats. Yup, this happens every single time.

  • As we often say: it is not you who chooses the cat but the cat who chooses you. So it doesn't matter if you were a cat person or not, this kitten chose your family, along with the two dogs that are in it, and it is clearly there to stay.

    Elly has never been around a cat. She was with me in the car when I found the cat and has showed nothing but concern about her will being since day one. She was confused as f though the first time she purred though. Now she's over here smiling like a proud mom

  • The fact that your dogs accepted the kitty just as quickly as the kitty accepted them is the ultimate proof that this is the right furever home for this kitty. And she knew it. We are one hundred percent certain that she did.

    Eleven11DJ OP After her first visit to the vet for her eye infection the vet said she had a cold, needed 24 hour care and meds. I decided to foster her. Got her a heating blanket, a litter box and food. Earlier this week for her third check up she got all her vaccines. Safe to say she's a foster fail. She's staying!

    This was Elly the first night I brought Evee home and back from the vet. To the right of Elly is the kittens crate with heating bags and covered in blankets as her temperature was below normal. Elly normally hates her coat but wouldn't leave the cats side and refused to let me take it off of her because she did not want to leave the cats side.

    Eleven11DJ OP That It was just a huge eye infection most likely from the severe cold she had. She was so congested and had so much mucus coming out of her nose.
